Chelsea Signs Samuel Etoo

The London club - Chelsea have signed the Anzhi Makhachkala and Cameroon international, Samuel Etoo (32), on a one year free transfer deal.

After joining the club, Etoo said, "It wasn't a hard decision. I saw the qualities Chelsea have, and I was very happy with Jose Mourinho before, so when the opportunity came I was very happy to take it."

"I am very happy to be here, but also anxious because I want to get playing as soon as possible," Samuel said.

With the signing of Etoo, Mourinho probably will halt his pursuit of Manchester United's, Wayne Rooney (27), after he gave him 48 hours to make up his mind whether he wants to stay at United or join Chelsea.

Rooney said, that he wants to leave, but it seemed like he changed his mind, and was not ready to submit a transfer request, perhaps due to the love and support, he got on Monday at the Old Trafford, during the Premier League match, between United and Chelsea.

Samuel Etoo, is a world class striker, whose goal scoring record, can not be over emphasised, by any stretch of imagination, because it speaks for itself.
