Third Man United Bid for Fabregas?

The second Manchester United transfer bid for Barcelona's midfielder and former Arsenal captain, Cesc Fabregas was rejected. Barcelona has stated publicly that Fabregas is not for sale.

Fabregas has not been able to secure a regular starting position in the team, which prompted United to think that he is unhappy and wants to leave.

Man United first tendered a bid of €25m, which Barcelona rejected. Then the former coach, Tito Vilanova, spoke with Cesc and later said that he has discussed with the player and he does not want to leave.

"I am aware that we have received offers from other teams. I talked with him and he told me he wants to stay. Cesc does not contemplate the possibility of going to another club."

"He Knows that the competition here is great. His dream is to succeed here," he concluded.

There are a couple of reasons why Fabregas will not be leaving this season.
I have already mentioned one, which is that he wants to stay.

The second is that Arsenal when they sold him in 2011, had first option buy back clause of €25m in his contract if he wants to leave.

Arsene Wenger is in regular contact with his former captain and the player told him that he wants to stay this season just as he told Vilanova.

Wenger then told the media, ''At the moment, Fabregas has decided to stay one more year at Barcelona."

"We have the clause in the contract so we would be on alert, but at the moment, that's not something we 're after," the Frenchman disclosed.

The other reason is that Barcelona, has sold a couple of players already, which included David Villa to Atletico Madrid and Thiago to Bayern.
And this is likely to make Barcelona to hold on to Fabregas to make sure that they still retain quality players in the midfield.

Man United is preparing for a third bid of €35m after the second bid of €30m was rejected. If it fails, they have other players they want to look at
So we will see how things turns out.
