Evander Sno Searching For New Club

Evander Sno (26) the former midfielder for NEC Nijmegen is searching for a new football club after his contract was cancelled in April. At the moment he is training in the pre-season with FC Twente in Enschede.

It is not yet known if the club will sign him or not. Sno's contract with NEC was cancelled after a serious dispute with his coach Mr Alex Pastoor.

Evander's former coach at RKC Waalwijk who is now coaching Roda JC at Kerkrade is interested in signing him to his club but he is not sure if he is 100% fit because of the two heart attacks the player suffered while playing in matches for Ajax against Vitesse in 2010 when he was only 23 years and again in 2012 at 25 years while playing for NEC against Feyenoord.

The player seem to be doing very well now. Mr Brood has interest in Evander and is in regular contact with his former player.
"I am still in contact with him, but everything is dependent on his health. That is now the most important," the coach said.

He said also that he is not ruling out that Evander may move to Roda in the future as nobody knows what will happen.

That is true no one knows what will happen, but I think Evander Sno should consider his options with his family very carefully before he joins any club.

He should go for check up in Cleveland in US. I have forgotten the name of a very talented cardiologist that treats sportsmen and women with heart problem. Sno should consult him after the check up, if he needs more treatment, the doctor will give him and after that he will tell him whether he is ok to continue playing football or not.

Many footballers that have heart problem in Europe have gone to him. There are a number of them here in Europe but one person I remember vividly is former Ajax and Arsenal player, the Nigerian Nwankwo Kanu.

After kanu's treatment the doctor fitted him with pace maker, the doctor told him that he is now hundred percent ready to play football. So Arsenal went ahead and bought Kanu from Inter Milan. And he went on and played at the highest level of Premier League, Champions League and World Cup.

After the treatment Kanu played for more 15 years before retiring from football in 2012. There were players who did not have opportunity to go for treatment. They just colapsed on the football pitch and die, such the Cameroonian international Marc Vivien Foe, who died ten years ago while playing for his country in the FIFA Confedration match in Paris.

We may also remember apart from Sno's colapse in 2010, the recent one in the Uk last year involving Bolton FC player Fabrice Muamba. He colapsed last year in a football match without any player near him at the time.

He stopped breathing for 78 minutes and the doctors treating him on the pitch thought he was dead. Everybody in the stadium and watching from television were in shock. Some people started crying while others started praying for him. After 78 minutes miracle happened he started breathing again.

He was later taken to hospital where he stayed for weeks, while the football community continued praying for his recovery. After a long time he woke up and every body was very very happy in the whole world.

After he was discharged from hospital he retired from playing football at the age of 24 years, got married to his girl friend and settled down. I saw him last month on television as a football analyst.

So as I said before Evander should consider his options. He should also consider what Muamba did. Yea, its better to be alive than dead. In Sno's case its now twice it happened to him, he may not be as lucky next time.

As it has happened twice no one can say that it may not happen again. He should really consider his options very well with his family, before he commit to any club.
