Bill Russel - The NBA Legend Arrested At The Airport

The NBA living legend, Bill Russel (79), was recently arrested at the Tacoma International Airport, Seattle, for having a loaded gun .38 caliber, Smith and Wesson hand gun in his luggage.

Mr Russel was arrested for a brief moment and released but the Transportation and Security Administration which discovered the hand gun during the search of his bag at the airport confiscated the gun.

Bill, who is in the hall of fame of Basketball, played for the Boston Celtics from the 1950's to the 1970's. In the course of his career, he won more titles than any other player that played or still playing the game. He won a total of 11 titles (11 NBA rings), he won one more than a former team-mate, Sam Jones, who won 10 titles.

The very tall former basketball player later issued a statement of apology. He said, ''Before boarding my flight from Seattle to Boston, I had accidentally left a legal firearm in my bag. I apologize and truly regret the mistake.''

''I was issued a citation by the TSA, whose agents couldn't have been more thorough and professional, when dealing with this. I really appreciate their efforts to keep air travel safe.''
